Srinagar, 12 April (KB): Yesterday, a 70- years old man was attacked with a sharp knife, while he was purchasing fruits from a local cart located at Qamerwari area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar, officials said.
Talking to Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), the family members of the 70-years old man said that, our father was out from home to buy Watermelons, when he was attacked by the fruit-cart owner with a sharp knife.
“My father asked the fruit seller to give me a watermelon and suddenly some arguments happened between both of them and my father started leaving for home, then the person came and suddenly attacked my father with a sharp knife and left him wounded,” the son of the old man said.
“My father lost so much blood as he was fully to covered in blood. Not even a single person picked him from the street, no one took him to hospital, then my niece was passing from the road and she shifted him to hospital”, he said.
Now i request the higher authorities to take this matter as serious, and give us justice.
When contacted police station Qamarwari, a police official told KB that, the incident happened yesterday. Soon after the incident one minor boy of 14 years (Name with held), was taken into custody and today he was presented before Juvenile justice board. Now the boy has been shifted to Juvenile board Harwan Srinagar. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
