Government Orders Bureaucratic Reshuffle in J&K
Srinagar, Mar 01 (KB): Jammu & Kashmir government has ordered transfer and posting of several senior officers with immediate effect.
Vivek Sharma, who was serving as Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department, has been posted as Director General, Floriculture, Jammu. She will assume her new role following the retirement of Jatinder Singh on March 31, 2025. Meanwhile, Bhawani Rakwal, who was awaiting orders in the General Administration Department, has been assigned the role of Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Khalid Jahangir, the Managing Director of J&K Trade Promotion Organization, on the other hand, as per an order a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir Bulletin, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government in the Industries and Commerce Department. He will also hold additional charge as Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
Similarly, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, who was awaiting adjustment, has now been posted as Managing Director of the J&K Housing Board, while Rubina Kausar, formerly Special Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department, has been appointed as Director, Libraries, J&K.
Sudershan Kumar, the Secretary of the J&K Board of School Education, being moved to the role of Managing Director at the J&K Trade Promotion Organization. Naseem Javid Chowdhary, who was serving as Managing Director of J&K Horticulture Produce, Marketing and Processing Corporation, has been reassigned as Director of School Education, Jammu.
Mohammad Younis Malik, the Vice-Chairman of the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority, has been transferred to the Power Development Department as Special Secretary.
Further changes have been made across various departments, including Horticulture, Handicrafts, Skill Development, and Revenue. (KB)
