DGP RR Swain Reaches Encounter Site in Poonch

Poonch, Dec 22 (KS): Director General of Police Rashmi Ranjan Swain has reached encounter site in Surankote area of Poonch district, officials said.

The officials informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that the top police officer accompanied by his sub-ordinates reached the site to assess the situation arisen out of the ongoing encounter.

The police officer interacted with the security forces overlooking the operation in the area and also shared his expertise to neutralize the hiding terrorists at an earliest.

Pertinent to mention here that five soldiers have lost their lives and two others are under treatment after coming under a heavy firing by militanta along DKG-Buffliaz road in Surankote. (KS)
