Budgam, 13 August (KB): Full dress rehearsal for 76th Independence Day-22 Parade was held in district Budgam at Sports Stadium Budgam.
Addl. District Development Commissioner Budgam Shri Akramullah Tak-JKAS was the Chief Guest who unfurled the National flag and inspected the Parade along with Shri Gowhar Ahmad-JKPS Addl. Superintendent of Police Budgam.
Addl. DC Budgam Dr. Nasir Ahmed-JKAS, Chief Educational officer Budgam Shri Mushtaq Ahmed Qadri, General Manager DIC Budgam Shri Mohammad Ashraf-JKAS, DySP DAR DPL Budgam Shri Owaise Rasheed-JKPS, and other senior officials of civil administration/Police were also present on the occasion.
Police spokesperson as per a assertion to Kashmir Bulletin– (KB), said the Parade was commanded by Dy.SP PC,Budgam Dr. Ajaz Malik-JKPS in which contingents of CRPF 43BN , JKP , JKAP, Homeguards & School Contingents of NCC BHSS Budgam, NCC HSS Wagar, NCC HSS Wathoora ,NCC BHSS Beerwah,BHSS Soibugh, BHS Shogapora, HS Pallar, GHS Ichigam, GHS Nasrullahpora , BHSS Humahma & band troops of District Police Budgam presented the march past.Further, rehearsals of various colourful cultural programs like Rouf, Ladishah, patriotic songs, Bangda, folk dance etc. were also presented.
In his speech, “the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of Independence Day in the history of India, he urged people of Budgam to actively hoist and display the tricolour in their homes from 13th to 15th August under “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign as a mark of gratitude the national heroes. ADDC also stated that Budgam district is a glaring and shining example of brotherhood where people of different faiths and communities co-exists peacefully,” it reads.
“A good number of people witnessed the full Dress Rehearsal function and elaborate security arrangements were made by Police Budgam during the rehearsal of the Independence Day-22 celebrations,” reads the assertion. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
