Srinagar, Aug 01 (KB): The Border Security Force (BSF) has killed a Pakistani infiltrator attempting to cross the border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The BSF, in an official handout issued as per the Kashmir Bulletin (KB), said around 11:00 PM, the vigilant BSF troops stationed near the Border Outpost Khoara in the Samba sector detected suspicious movement along the International Border.
The suspect was observed crossing the zero line of the Indo-Pak International Border, a clear violation of border protocol.
“The alert troops immediately responded to the intrusion,” the statement reads, adding that upon noticing the suspicious movement, they challenged the infiltrator to stop. Despite repeated warnings, the individual continued advancing into Indian territory, leaving the troops with no choice but to open fire.
Currently, the identity of the infiltrator and the motive behind the intrusion are yet to be determined. Authorities have initiated an investigation, and more details are awaited.—(Kashmir Bulletin)
