Srinagar, Aug 22 (KB): Indian National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Srinagar today for their two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
Party sources told the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB) that the duo has reached Srinagar airport this evening. He added they will later go to Hotel Lalit in Srinagar where Rahul is likely to Stay for night as the security across the Hotel has been briefed up.
Both the leaders are set to meet party workers and leaders during their stay, focusing on strengthening the party’s presence in the region ahead of the assembly polls in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Top sources revealed to KB that Rahul Gandhi is expected to meet top opposition leaders, including National Conference chief Dr. Farooq Abdullah & PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti to make consensus on pre poll alliance ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the Union Territory of J&K. (KB)
