Locals appeal SSCL to introduce e-bus service from Nowgam-Pehru

Srinagar, Dec 06 (KNO): The residents of Nowgam and adjacent areas in Srinagar here have demanded the authorities to launch e-bus service from Nowgam to Pehru.

The e-bus service according to the residents has become an essential mode of transportation in the area, thereby urging the authorities to look into the matter.

Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer KNO), the residents said the absence of e-bus service has left commuters with limited options, as only sumo vehicles are available for the transportation in the area, which has led to the overcrowding and inconvenience, especially during peak hours.

“We are facing a lot of problems due to the unavailability of e-buses,” said Sahil, a resident of Nowgam. The Sumos are always overcrowded, and it’s very difficult to get a proper seat,” he said.

Another resident from Pehru echoed the similar views, stating, “The e-bus service is very convenient and affordable, and we are requesting the authorities to start the service as soon as possible.”—(KNO)
