MP Er Rasheed Granted 2-Day Custody Parole to attend Parliament
Srinagar, Feb 10 (JKNS): The Delhi High Court has granted two-day custody parole to J&K MP and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president Engineer Rashid to enable him to attend Parliament.
AIP chief spokesperson Inam-un-Nabi told news agency JKNS that, Delhi High Court has granted two-day custody parole to J&K MP and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) president Engineer Rashid to allow him to attend Parliament on February 11 and 13.
The court’s decision will allow Engineer Rashid to participate in parliamentary proceedings for the specified period, Inam said.
Engineer Rashid, who was elected as an MP from north Kashmir, has been in detention in connection with a case investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). His party has been demanding his release to fulfill his parliamentary responsibilities. (JKNS)
