PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, LG Sinha Pay Tribute to CRPF Personnel Killed in Pulwama Attack
SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage on Friday to the 40 CRPF personnel killed in the 2019 Pulwama attack, reaffirming the nation’s resolve to combat militancy.
Amit Shah expressed deep condolences, highlighting the government’s determination to eradicate militancy. “On behalf of a grateful nation, I pay my heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who were martyred in the cowardly attack in Pulwama on this day in 2019,” he wrote in Hindi on X. Shah emphasized that militancy is humanity’s greatest enemy and stressed India’s commitment to a “zero-tolerance” policy against it.

“Be it through a surgical strike or an air strike, the Modi government is determined to completely destroy terrorists,” he stated.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also honored the martyrs, writing, “On this day in 2019, India lost our brave CRPF personnel in a gruesome militant attack in Pulwama. Their sacrifice for the nation will never be forgotten. I offer unwavering support to their families. India stands united in honoring their valor and remains resolute in our fight against militancy.”
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed similar sentiments, writing, “Heartfelt tribute to the courageous martyrs of the heinous Pulwama attack of 2019. Their supreme sacrifice in the service of the motherland will forever be remembered. The courage and selfless commitment of our gallant heroes will continue to inspire generations.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute, stating, “Homage to the courageous heroes we lot in Pulwama in 2019. The coming generations will never forget their sacrifice and unwavering dedication to the nation.” He reiterated the nation’s enduring gratitude for the CRPF personnel’s sacrifice.
The Pulwama attack, which occurred on February 14, 2019, saw a suicide bomber target a CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, killing 40 personnel and injuring over 35 others. The incident remains one of the deadliest in recent history and a significant marker in India’s fight against militancy. amit
