Sajad Lone Urges Govt to Intervene as 22 Students Face Exam Crisis
Srinagar, Feb 14, KNT: The future of 22 students hangs in balance as the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has rejected their 10th-class examination forms due to their school’s non-registration.
The students, who had submitted their forms through Islamic Global School, Padshahi Bagh Srinagar, two months ago, are now unable to obtain their roll number slips, preventing them from appearing in the upcoming exams starting Monday.
Expressing concern over the issue, Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the authorities, stating that it is the government’s responsibility to prevent unregistered schools from operating. “It is not the job of the parents to verify school registrations. How would they know whether a school is registered or not?” he questioned.

Lone urged the administration, particularly JKBOSE, to take immediate steps to resolve the crisis. He suggested that the JKBOSE Chairman could intervene and facilitate a partnership with a registered school to ensure that the students do not lose a crucial academic year. “Anything to rescue the children,” he emphasized, calling upon the government to act rather than “wash its hands off” the matter.
The affected students and their parents have appealed for urgent intervention from the authorities, fearing that their academic future is at serious risk if no remedial measures are taken in time. [KNT]
