Stinagar, Aug 22 (KB): In a turn of events last night, a three-story residential house area was fully gutted by flames in Rathpora Eidgah area of Noorbagh in central Kashmiri’s Srinagar district.
An official told news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), that the fire broke out at about 9:55 pm, and the premises were gutted, involving an urgent and well-coordinated response by local emergency services.
The initial alarm was raised at 10:01 p.m., based on which the Fire and Emergency Services Safakadal unit mobilized promptly from HQRS at 10:02 p.m.
With the escalation of the fire, the F&ES MR Gunj unit was dispatched at 10:06 p.m., followed by a bomber from HQRS at 10:18 p.m.
As the blaze was such on a high scale, things have been very difficult. Authorities are currently taming the flames and verifying the extent of the damage done to the residential property.
The situation is fluid, and emergency services advise people to stay clear of the area to avoid putting themselves in danger.
