Budgam, July 14 (KB): Police Station Budgam arrested 05 persons while they were indulging in gambling at Graveyard Ompora Budgam.
Police spokesperson as per a statement issued here to Kashmir Bulletin — KB said that, The arrested gamblers have been identified as, Bashir Ahmed shah son of Sonaullah Shah resident Gousia Mohalla Ompora, Ab Rashid Hajam son of Gh Mohammad Hajam resident of Ompora, Mohammad Younis Dar son of Ab Rashid Dar resident of Chinar colony Ompora, Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh son of Abdul Rehman Sheikh resident of Choon Budgam, Bashir Ahmed Teli son of Ghulam Ahmed Teli resident of Ompora Budgam, it reads.
Stake money of Rs8467/= and packet of playing cards have been recovered from the possession of the arrested persons from the place of gambling.
Statement further added that, Case FIR Number 231/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up, reads the statement.
Meanwhile, General Public has hailed the police action against the gamblers. (Kashmir Bulletin — KB)
