6 Persons, On Run for Over 30 Years, Apprehended in Bandipora: Police
Srinagar, Feb 24 (KB): Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bandipora, apprehended six absconders evading arrest for over thirty years, in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The absconders, the Police said in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin, were on a run for last thirty-four years.
The arrestees have been identified as; Mohd Shafi Shah, son of Ab Gani, of Papchan involved in Case FIR No.64/1990; Mohd Sadeeq Reshi son of Gaffar Reshi, of Buthoo, involved in Case FIR No.169/1990; Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganie son of Habibullah Ganie, of Bagh Bandipora, involved in Case FIR No.18/1994; Gh Hassan Khan, son of Dawood Khan, of Lawaypora, under FIR No.29/1991; Fayaz Ahmad Mir, son of Gh Hasan Mir, of Ward 03 Bandipora, involved in case FIR No.07/1990 and Ab Ahad Rather, son of Gaffar Rather, of Arin Bandipora, innvolved in Case FIR No.26/1991 of PS Bandipora.
“The arrests were made by a Special Police team of PS Bandipora,” the Police said, adding that subsequently, the arrested accused persons were produced before the Court of Law. (KB)
