AAC pays rich tributes to Mirwaiz molvi Farooq (RA) on his 31st martyrdom anniversary
Srinagar, May 17 (KB):Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) paid glorious tribute to its founder,the distinguished religious scholar, preacher and illustrious political leader Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq (RA) on his 31st martyrdom anniversary .
In a statement issued to Kashmir Bulletin –(KB), It also paid tributes to the Martyrs of Hawal and to shaheed e Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on his 19th martyrdom anniversary.
AAC said that the various commemorative functions held each year to pay tributes to the late leader over a period of one week called ‘Hafta-e-Shahaadat ‘, which included organising free medical and blood donation camps , seminars, stand cancelled as the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is ravaging though J&K.
Also due to AAC and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chairman Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq continued arbitrary detention at home since August 5, 2019.
Collective Fateha prayers at the Martyrs graveyard Eidgah and the commemorative rally thereafter as well as the shutdown to honour Shaheed-e-Millat, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat and the martyrs of Hawal stand postponed due to the covid circumstances.
Awami Action Committee appealed to people and Imams of masajids to remember the beloved Martyed leader in their prayers and pray for his highest status in Jannah as well as for Shaheed-e-Hurriyat , Hawal Martyrs and all the martyrs since 1931. (Kashmir Bulletin)
