Budgam, Sep 28 (KB): Police on Wednesday said they have arrested a person & seized Dumper for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals, in Budgam area of Central Kashmir.
Police spokesperson as per Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that Police station Chadoora intercepted 01 dumper loaded with illegally excavated soil at Magraypora Chadoora, who were found Carrying Soil, which he had excavated from Government land at Magraypora.
“The driver was arrested and the Dumper was also seized on spot. The arrested driver has been identified as Suhail Abbas Sofi son of Ashiq Hussain Sofi resident of Rakh Shalina Tengen Registration number of seized Dumper are JK13E 9238,” reads the assertion.
“Case FIR numbers 162/2022 have been registered at Police Station Chadoora under relevant sections of law and investigation taken up. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units,” it reads. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
