This is the third education policy of India and definitely a powerful one that will surely make India a global knowledge superpower. In this policy, there is huge focus on children’s foundational literacy and numeracy and the new 5+3+3+4 structure in NEP 2020 aims at promoting better overall learning, development, and well-being of the students. The NEP 2020 guides and equips the teachers with new age teaching pedagogies and we all are very hopeful that it will transform India’s education system.” He also thanked Sri Aurobindo Society for starting the initiative of orienting the teachers on the new education policy – 2020.

Ashok Sharma, National Training Head, Sri Aurobindo Society who attended the webinar as a special guest, said, “Equity, inclusion, multi-lingual diversity are few important aspects of this education policy and will surely have a major positive impact in improving the education system of our nation. This policy talks about inclusion in a broader sense and constructively addresses our national needs. It is necessary that the teachers who lay the foundation of education understand the new education policy in detail and move forward to implement it.
The changing role of teachers has been clearly defined in the new education policy 2020. The active participation of the teachers in this webinar is indicative of their commitment towards work. India is on the path of progress and the new education policy 2020 has shown us the direction for transforming education.”
