Srinagar, June 16, 2020 (KB): Students of Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar on Tuesday protested and demanded that their exams should be held in online mode.
The students urged the authorities for online exams and said that if their examination was held via offline mode it would be dangerous amid the Covid 19 pandemic.
Talking to Kashmir Bulletin a student Namely Aqib Farooq said, amid pandemic it is not possible to sit in examination center, it will be dangerous for us, let college authorities conduct exams in online mode, as other colleges did, Aqib said.
When Kashmir Bulletin –(KB), contact Principal Islamia College Sheikh Aijaz Bashir, he said that, “We have decided nothing as of now, college is working as per set procedures and norms. Mode of examination has not been decided as yet and will be strictly as per set rules and guidelines. We are here for students and for their good. We want them to excel in studies.
He further said that as per routine, examination dates are finalised after all examination forms are received as that clarifies the number of students appearing in examination”.(Kashmir Bulletin)
