SRINAGAR NOVEMBER 10: In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Disha Pandith, hailing from the picturesque region of Jammu and Kashmir, has made history by becoming the first Kashmiri Pandit to clinch a gold medal in Sqay, the ancient martial art of Kashmir.
This extraordinary achievement took place at the 37th National Games, which unfolded from the 6th to 8th November 2023 at Fatorda multipurpose Stadium Margao Goa.
Sqay, a traditional martial art originating from the beautiful valleys of Kashmir, holds a significant place in the cultural heritage of the region. Disha Pandith’s victory not only brings honor to her family but also to the entire Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
