Srinagar, Aug 13 (KB): The District Administration Reasi organized a grand Tiranga rally on the world’s highest railway bridge at Khouri. The event, held in the run-up to India’s Independence Day, saw enthusiastic participation from students, local residents, district and police officers, who together unfurled a 750-meter-long Tricolour, the largest of its kind ever displayed on the bridge.
The rally was an inspiring sight as the Tricolour, a single piece of fabric symbolizing India’s unity and pride, waved majestically in the air over the Chenab River. The event not only showcased the patriotic fervor of the people of Reasi but also highlighted the unique and historic significance of the bridge, which stands as a marvel of engineering.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, expressed pride in hosting the rally at such a symbolic location. Speaking at the event, the DC remarked, “This Tiranga rally is not just a celebration of our national flag but a tribute to the spirit of freedom and unity that binds our nation together. The participation of our youth, locals, and officers is a testament to our collective dedication to upholding the values enshrined in our Tricolour.”
