Each persons thoughts may be different in the context of domestic violence, but one thought is same i.e “We should raise our voices” It’s time for action to end domestic violence, It’s time for action when upto 70% of women in some countries face physical or sexual violence in their life time, the effects of violence can remain with women and children for a life time, and pass from one generation to another studies show that children who have witnessed, or been subjected to, violence are more likely to become victim or abusers themselves,For an effective response to this violence different sector’s in socity must work together.
Some students have shared their thoughts about the domestic violence and they are given below
“48% of domestic violence surivors stay with their abusers, because of fear of what will happen to their children “
“Men who abuses women don’t deserve to be called men”
This is emaan and I want to talk about domestic voilence today.
I believe that it is the woman’s fault that all this happens to her ..
Many people may disagree but this is bitter truth..
I will tell you why?
When a man raises his hand against a woman for the first time ..
She remains silent
Actually this is the fault of a woman
When a man saw that the woman is silent .
He feels that now he has got authority and the process of raising hands against woman continues,Raise your voice on the same day ,,the man raises his hand ,, otherwise life becomes hell, I have seen terrible things in my life , I have seen how a woman tolerate quietly…when her husband raises her hand..
How she listens quietly
How she endures with fear and how she died at last..
There r many woman who raise their voices against domestic voilence but people do not allow them to live ,,,her family does not allow her ,to raise her voice, I think domestic voilence will not end until a woman knows her place. In islam, Woman thinks that if she raises her voice her family vll evict her ,,she vll not b respected in the society, I just want to say that if something goes wrong ..raise your voice against it whether someone supports you or not, I know u vll face many difficulties but uh have to face them.
No one says anything to the man .
Here in Kashmir men are given a special place called “haqi khudayi”, Aray wo mard he waese hotei hae jo is title ko deserve krtei hae …
“All I can say is raise your voice
Be happy
Live your life
Worrk hard with dignity ..
“Ixat ka khaw”
Bei ixati ka nahi..
Warna aese mard janwar ar aurat mai frak nhi krtei”
But exception is always there
At last kisi nei kyh khoob kaha hae
Halat bata rahei hae ghar ka fasana..
Yaha rehtei Tou boht hae magar jeeta koi nahi
Allah tallah her beiti ka naseeb acha farmayei….”Ameen”

If we talk about domestic violence, it is the abusive behavior by one partner against another. It can be in the form of verbal abuse, physical abuse. In this lockdown, the domestic violence has raised as people are staying at home due to the “lockdown protocol”, where many families/couples have lot of indifferences within. Abusers learns violence from their own people only, like family, community or culture. They see violence and traces of it are left in their mind. According to me, domestic violence is nothing but a mental problem where one individual wants to gain power over another individual. Hence, this problem is created by a man himself, just to dominate and be superior over another person. It creates a risk of harm, physically or emotionally. Many problems will get solved, certainly, but in the long run its only a temporary solution. Violence cannot solve the problem.
We can overcome with domestic violence if we forget about inferiority/superiority complex. Being dominant over your partner or any family member is totally a “toxic” thought. Instead we should accept each other’s indifferences and take everything positively, which leads to a healthy and a happy life. Females are often the victims of domestic violence. But therefore, gender roles can be reversed.

“It all started when she was frightened to tell him about how she felt, not knowing how he would react, so she kept silent.
She was frightened by his jealousy, his nature, his way of reacting to certain things for which she decided to be tight-lipped.
And one day when she had the courageof confessing how she is feeling she was beaten to death by words and by physical strength.
She was caged her wings were crushed, and there she was lying down on the floor thinking how she felt and what she did wrong.
It was not the blood of her wounds or the pain in her body she was thinking of, it was the thought that what was so wrong in expressing her heart to the person she loved.
She decided to take a stand and talk about it to the mother and that is when she realised the “only enemy of a woman was a woman herself.”
Yet she loved, she loved her children, she loved her connection and his family, she didn’t give up on the hope of a better future.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is a serious threat and a problem in our society as we live in a patriarchy we neglect a lot of other things which lead to suicides or other cases such as murder for dowry etc.
One can only imagine how a person feels being a victim “Domestic Violence”
In our Valley, This serious problem is growing day by day and we need to stand against it.
And help the victim as well as the assailant(mentally).”
Thank you.

The Indian subcontinent is not novel to the notion of domestic violence
or crimes against women. Rampant domestic violence against women
in India has become a hard-core reality.
It is very difficult to associate a specific reason that can be labeled to
have caused domestic violence. However, some reasons can be
attributed as causes of domestic violence.
One of the contributing factors could be the desire to gain control over
another family member. The desire to exploit someone for personal
benefits, the flare to be in a commanding position all the time,
showcasing one’s supremacy so on and so forth. Psychological
problems and social influence can also add to the abuse.
Domestic violence has devasting impacts on the life of not only the
victims but at large impacts the families, children, and even the
communities. Domestic violence often leads to deaths, illness and
disabilities among the victims. It has a devasting impact on an
individual’s physical, mental and emotional health including depression,
shame, anger and suicide. In order to deal with pain, the survivors often
indulge in alcohol and substance abuse.
The suicide cases of such victimized women are also a deadly
consequence and the number of such cases are on a rise.
Domestic violence is a social evil which is a prevalent in the Indian for a
long time. No doubt, there are efforts made on the part of the
government in the form of laws. But the laws are not free from flaws.
There are various steps that can be taken to prevent domestic violence.
Apart from making the laws made effective and stringent. Gender
neutrality needs to be introduced in the law. The NGOs and other
organizational play an active role in spreading awareness about the
domestic violence and its evil effects. The health care and police system
need to be sensitized about the issue and essential training needs to be
given in order to combat this growing terror. To curb the growing trend
of domestic violence, the issue needs to be urgently addressed as it
directly violates our right to life.

“DOMESTIC VOILENCE AT ITS PEAK”
Well, the tag itself is self explaining the issue itself, iam not speaking about something about which you are not aware of ,rather we all do this, we just need a single opportunity, women has been since long considered as a mere worthless being ,every thing which is in capacity of the society is done against this very being….be it home ,I mean we her own ones be it outside I mean women being married be it office be it anywhere this being is targeted very badly, numerous crimes are coming daily in our dailies regarding the suppression of the women…somewhere she is being raped by father, somewhere is is slaughtered by her brother ,some where she is being gang raped, somewhere she is being molested by her favourite teacher, somewhere she is used by her boss, meaning she is no where fit and fine in this Male dominated society.
Since long this very women is used by her mother in law as a labour, dowry is a must if you are someone’s daughter and trying to further the life, otherwise at the age of 25 26 one has to commit suicide…if this goes further soon this very women will a distinct species…it is alarming brides are being burned, being tortured to death being shared with ones friends, we have to rethink otherwise the whole issue is going to be a sort of virus which will not leave any corner unaffected.
