Facebook page handler booked for spreading fake and and baseless news, with the intention to mislead the general public: Police
Srinagar, June 20:(KB) Police on Monday said they have booked social media news portal ‘The Real Kashmir’ for spreading fake news on social media.
Police spokesperson as per a statement issued here to Kashmir Bulletin — KB, spokesperson said that Shopian police registered FIR No. 43/2022 U/s 153 and 505(1)b IPC against the handler of Facebook news portal THE REAL KASHMIR NEWS for spreading fake and baseless news with the intention to mislead the general public about the Chandigam Lolab encounter and investigation has been set into motion.
As per statement, Spokesperson further said that, General public is once again requested not to pay heed towards these rumours and legal action will be taken against those spreading fake and baseless information on the social media, reads a statement.(Kashmir Bulletin — KB
