No threat of Floods across Kashmir, rains to continue till tomorrow afternoon, dry weather thereafter: Independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif
Srinagar, June 21 (KB): As rains lashed Jammu and Kashmir on fourth straight day, ‘Kashmir Weather’, operated by Faizan Arif, on Tuesday ruled out any chances of flood across J&K.
Faizan while talking to Kashmir Bulletin said, “Currently it is raining at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, moderate to heavy rain is expected to continue till tomorrow morning.”
He added, “By tomorrow evening, dry weather will be dominant across the Union Territory.”
Faizan further added that, “There is no threat of flood. However, heavy rain at a few places can trigger flash floods in a particular area.”
The independent weather forecaster while alerting people said, “People should Avoid Trekking and Hiking till Friday, due to slippery conditions. Avoid travelling on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway tomorrow due to risk of shooting stones and landslides, he said.(Kashmir Bulletin — KB)
