Srinagar, Aug 13 (KB): In a moving tribute to the spirit of India, the Indian Army today spearheaded a magnificent Tiranga Rally in the picturesque town of Dawar, nestled in the Gurez Valley of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The rally, organized in the lead-up to Independence Day, was a powerful display of national pride and unity, touching the hearts of all who participated.
The Tiranga Rally began with a deeply emotional ceremony at the Gurez Sports Stadium, where the national anthem was sung with reverence, marking the beginning of this momentous event.
The stadium echoed with the voices of soldiers and civilians alike, united in their love for the motherland. Patriotic songs filled the air, setting a tone of devotion and respect for the sacrifices that have shaped our nation.
As the rally moved through the streets of Dawar, the tricolor was held high, fluttering proudly against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas.
Participants from all walks of life—local residents, ex-sservicemen, civil administration, schoolchildren, college students, and soldiers—joined hands, creating a sea of saffron, white, and green. Chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” reverberated through the valley as the people of Dawar stood shoulder to shoulder with the Indian Army in a powerful demonstration of unity and patriotism. The rally witnessed an overwhelming response through active participation from various fields.
An enthusiastic gathering close to 1200 in numbers, comprising students, teachers, and locals of border villages along the Line of Control, joined the Indian Army and Civil Administration to celebrate the patriotic fervor and pioneer the success of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of our honorable Prime Minister. The Tiranga Rally significantly boosted the morale of the local community, which was mesmerized by the tunes of patriotic songs played in the background.
It fostered a renewed sense of patriotism and national unity and also served as a reminder of the importance of community involvement in celebrating national milestones.
The Tiranga Rally in Dawar was more than a celebration—it was a reaffirmation of our shared identity as Indians. It is a testament to the indomitable spirit of the people and the soldiers who stand united in their love for the country.
As we approach Independence Day, the Indian Army, alongside the people of Jammu and Kashmir, renews its pledge to uphold the peace, unity, and integrity of our great nation.— (KB)
