SMC sealed Nawab Bazar Commercial structure for Building offences
Srinagar, Feb 28 (KB): Pursuant to a forward-thinking move to maintain building laws within Srinagar, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation sealed a commercial building at Shah Mohalla Nawab Bazar. This action comes in wake of clear instructions from Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed, due to gross breaches of sanctioned building permission.
The operation of enforcement was carried out under strict overwatch of SMC’s Enforcement Wing to secure conformity with given standards. The closed building violated the guidelines formulated by the authoritative agency, calling for immediate enforcement of legal standards in building constructions.
Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed, reaffirmed the corporation’s zero-tolerance approach to building violations. He appealed to the people of Srinagar to adhere strictly to sanctioned permissions and regulations, saying, “This action is a clear message that the SMC is committed to enforce compliance and protect the interests of the community.”
Dr. Owais underscored that the SMC will remain vigilant in monitoring the construction activities all over the city and take requisite measures against any violations. He underscored that the integrity of Srinagar’s urban space is a collective responsibility and urged the general Public to comply with the rules framed.— (KB)
