SRINAGAR:- On 24th March’ 2022, in the series of events on the occasion of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV- DESH KI HIFAZAT –DESH KI SURAKSHA”,
Trekking expedition organised by 163 Bn BSF from Chasmeshai to twin peaks Zabrwan Hills, Srinagar to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. It consist of about eighty students & staff from Burn Hall School,Srinagar and Troops of 163 Bn BSF.
The trekking expedition was flagged off by Sh. Guriqbal Singh Mand,Comdt,offg.
DIG ,SHQ BSF SGR in the Presence of Sh. Ajai Pratap Singh ,Comdt 163 Bn BSF and Father Suresh Itur Britto(Coordinator Hr. Sec) & Mr. Feroz (secretary) Burn Hall school,Srinagar.
The students & staff was full of enthusiasm and zeal.Border Security Force is keen to support and making the event safe and memorable for the students.
The joint effort of the troops of 163 BN BSF with the school is meant for Environmental Awareness health benefits and be in touch with natural flora and fauna.
Trekking is a physical activity beneficial for health that helps to develop bones, reduces the risk of osteoporosis, increases cardiovascular and respiratory capacities, strengthens the immune system, improves muscular capacity.
The event was appreciated by trekkers and the school staff.
