Shopain, June 15 (KB) A nocturnal encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Kanjiullar area of south Kashmir’s district shopain, officials said.
Talking to Microblogging Site Twitter, Kashmir Zone police, in a tweet as per Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that “A Encounter has started at kanjiular area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
As a joint of team of police, Army’s 34 RR and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
As per sources, the gunfight is said to have been triggered, soon after security forces cordoned the area following a tip of presence of militants there.
